Threads
Threads let you have a side conversation about a specific message without cluttering the main channel.Starting a Thread
- Hover over any message
- Click the thread icon (speech bubble with lines) in the hover action bar
- The thread panel opens on the right side
- Type your reply in the thread input and press Enter
Viewing Threads
Messages with replies show a “X replies” link below them. Click this link to open the thread panel and see all replies.Thread Panel
The thread panel shows:- Header — “Thread” with a close button
- Parent message — The original message being discussed
- Replies — All thread replies in chronological order
- Input — Send a reply to this thread

Thread Real-Time Updates
Thread replies are delivered in real-time via Supabase Realtime. New replies appear instantly for everyone viewing the thread.Reactions
React to any message with emoji to quickly acknowledge, agree, or express emotion.Adding a Reaction
Method 1: Hover toolbar- Hover over a message
- Click the smiley face icon in the hover action bar
- Select an emoji from the quick picker
Quick Emoji Set

Reaction Display
Reactions appear as pills below the message showing:- The emoji
- The count of people who reacted with it
- A highlighted border if you’ve reacted with that emoji
