# Lists

> Organize tasks into themed lists with custom colors.

## What Are Lists?

Lists are named groups for your tasks. They appear in the To-Dos sidebar and let you organize tasks by project, category, or any theme you choose.

## Built-in Filters

The sidebar has three built-in filters:

* **All Tasks** — Every task regardless of list
* **Shared with me** — Tasks shared by others
* **Shared by me** — Tasks you've shared

## Creating a List

1. Click **New List** in the sidebar
2. Enter a name
3. Optionally set a color and description
4. Click Create

## List Settings

Click the settings icon on a list to access:

| Setting         | Description                                    |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**        | Rename the list                                |
| **Color**       | Choose a color for the list                    |
| **Description** | Add a description                              |
| **Share list**  | Share the entire list with a team member       |
| **Stats**       | View task count and completion stats           |
| **Delete**      | Remove the list (tasks are moved to "no list") |

## Assigning Tasks to Lists

When creating or editing a task, select a list from the **List** dropdown.
