# Custom Requests

> Submit and track custom assay development requests.

## Submitting a Request

1. Go to **Assay → Custom Requests** tab
2. Click **New Request**
3. Describe what you need:
   * Target organisms/genes
   * Methodology preferences
   * Platform requirements
   * Turnaround time
4. Submit

## Request Matching

After submission, the AI automatically:

* Searches the catalog for existing panels that match
* Identifies partial matches (panels that cover some targets)
* Flags targets requiring custom development

## Tracking Requests

View all submitted requests with:

* Request title and description
* Match status (matched, partial, custom needed)
* Submission date
* Assigned team member
